Please read this carefully before using Grounded.

1. Not medical advice

Grounded is a wellbeing, mindfulness and habit-building app. Content provided in the app — including routines, journaling prompts, mindfulness sessions, AI coach responses and buddy interactions — is for general informational and motivational purposes only.

Grounded does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric or therapeutic advice, diagnosis or treatment. Nothing in the app is intended to be a substitute for professional medical care.

2. Always consult a professional

If you are experiencing physical or mental health issues — including but not limited to depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, addiction, injury, or chronic illness — please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

3. In case of emergency

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services right away. In the Netherlands: 112. For suicide prevention in the Netherlands: 113 (113.nl). Elsewhere in the EU, see IASP crisis centres.

4. AI coach

The in-app AI coach is a tool to support reflection and motivation. It can make mistakes, may produce inaccurate information, and is not a licensed therapist. Do not rely on it for medical, legal or financial decisions.

5. Physical activity

Some routines suggest movement, breathwork or cold exposure. Use common sense, listen to your body, and consult a doctor before starting any new physical practice — especially if you have underlying health conditions.

6. No guarantees

We genuinely believe in the practices Grounded promotes, but we make no guarantees of specific results. Outcomes depend on you.
