Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Grounded website (grndd.app) and the Grounded mobile/web app. By creating an account or purchasing a plan you agree to these Terms.

1. Who you are contracting with

The Grounded service is operated from the Netherlands by the legal entity behind Grounded (registration in progress). You can contact us at contact@grndd.app.

2. What Grounded is

Grounded is a digital wellbeing and habit-building service. It provides a personalised daily routine, journal & dashboard, mindfulness sessions, buddy check-ins and an AI coach. Grounded is not a medical, psychological or therapeutic service. See our Disclaimer.

3. Account & eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Grounded.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to use Grounded only for lawful, personal purposes.

4. Plans, prices and billing

All prices are in euro and include applicable VAT for consumers in the Netherlands.

  • Grounded Essential (annual) — €119 paid upfront today for the first 12 months. After 12 months the subscription continues automatically at €9.15 every 4 weeks.
  • Grounded Growth (annual) — €239 paid upfront today for the first 12 months. After 12 months the subscription continues automatically at €18.38 every 4 weeks.
  • Grounded Growth Flex — €29 every 4 weeks, billed automatically. Can be cancelled at any time before the next 4-week period.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us, via Stripe, to charge the recurring amounts described above to your chosen payment method until the subscription is cancelled.

5. Cancellation

  • Annual plans (Essential & Growth): the first 12 months are paid upfront and non-cancellable except where required by law (see Refund Policy). After the first year you can cancel at any time before the next 4-week renewal from your account.
  • Growth Flex: can be cancelled at any time from your account before the next 4-week renewal.
  • After cancellation you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

6. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. See our Refund Policy for full details and how this interacts with immediate access to the service.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Grounded in a way that harms other users (harassment, hate speech, spam, sharing of harmful content with buddies).
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape or otherwise misuse the service.
  • Share your account with others or resell access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8. Intellectual property

All content provided by Grounded (text, audio sessions, brand, software) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it within the app.

Content you create (journal entries, check-ins, messages) remains yours. By using the app you grant us a limited licence to host, display and process this content solely to provide the service to you.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grounded is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory Dutch consumer law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that may give you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
